Earlier today, May 1, 2026, I had the chance to attend the grand opening of Mr. Wen Cafe and Superkid Indoor Playground. I arrived at exactly 9:20 in the morning.

The cafe is located at SK Fuel, Mamay Road, Barangay Anglionto, here in Davao City. It’s easy to find, and when I entered, the first thing I noticed was the vibe. It felt classic. The frames, the chandelier, and even the tables and chairs gave a strong 80s and 90s feel. It was like stepping back in time, but still clean and comfortable.

Since it was a grand opening, the place was not crowded. Only invited guests were there, so everything felt calm and organized. It was actually nice because you can really see and enjoy the place without too much noise or stress.

Of course, I checked the playground right away. They have a ball pit, slides, and a climbing area. It’s simple but enough for kids to enjoy and stay active. I can already imagine how kids would love staying there for hours.

I also tried their food and drinks, and honestly, everything I tasted was good. No complicated words needed. Just good food and good drinks. It’s the kind of place where you can sit, relax, and enjoy without overthinking what to order.

For the program, they had a ribbon cutting and a blessing. There were no long speeches, which I actually liked. It kept things simple and straight to the point. They also gave gift certificates to the invited guests, good for three months, which was a nice bonus.

I had the chance to meet the owner and their team, and they were very welcoming. You can feel that they really want this place to work and to serve families and customers well.

For me, this place is perfect for parents. If you have kids, you can let them play in the playground while you work, relax, or just enjoy your coffee. It’s also good if you just want to hang out with friends or unwind after a long day.

Would I come back? Yes, definitely. Simple answer. Yes.

If you’re around Davao and looking for a place where you can bring your kids and still have your own time, this is worth checking out.
