After months of excitement, planning, and daydreaming, we finally made it to Shanghai Disneyland—and this time, as a family of three. 🥹
This vlog marks Day 1 out of 2 of our Disney adventure, and we’re bringing you along with us as we leave our hotel, hop on the shuttle, and take that unforgettable first walk toward the Disneyland gates. If you’re planning your own family trip soon, or you just want to feel the magic through our eyes, you’re in the right place. 💜
From Shiguang Li Hotel to the Magic Kingdom 🏨🚐
We stayed at Shiguang Li Hotel, located in the Pudong area. It’s a bit near from the park (around 15 minutes away), they offer a free shuttle to Disneyland, which we gladly took. Highly recommend it if you’re staying in that area, budget-friendly and convenient!
We skipped breakfast that morning to avoid any tummy issues (especially for Nacha, who’s still adjusting to travel routines), and off we went!
Nacha’s Second Disneyland, But First in Shanghai! 🎀
At four years old, this is actually Nacha’s second Disneyland experience. Her first one was in Hong Kong Disneyland back in September 2024, when she was three. (You can read that story here!)
This time, she was more talkative, more excited and even tried vlogging a bit!
Autumn Feels and Tropical Struggles 🍂🥶
Shanghai was in autumn season during our visit, and the temperature hovered between 15 to 20°C. For families like ours from the Philippines where it’s summer all year round, this was definitely a cold shock 😅
We came prepared with regular jackets and scarves, but let’s just say, they weren’t made for this kind of breeze! We had plans to visit a local thrift shop for warmer coats after our park day (travel tip!), but for now, we powered through with what we had.
The Walk That Felt Like a Dream (and a Workout) 😮💨
One of the most unexpectedly emotional parts of this day was the walk to the park entrance.
It was long. Like, really long. And cold. And our feet were sore. But we were also laughing, looking around, taking photos, spotting characters, and just… soaking everything in. That walk made it real: We’re finally here.
We weren’t even inside the park yet, but we were already feeling the magic.
Tickets, Tips, and a Little Bit of Math 💸
For those curious, our 2-day Disneyland tickets cost us ₱17,000 for three people (2 adults + 1 child). We booked through Agoda and scored a discount, bringing it down to ₱15,000. It’s definitely an investment, but with proper planning, it’s worth it!
👧 Note: Children under 3 (so 0-2 yo) can enter for free, but once your child hits age 3, they’ll need a full ticket already.
